Today, I woke up feeling the weather change. Runny nose, congestion, super deep voice filled with agony. In reality, I should have sat on my couch and drank tea, but I couldn’t stand to stay inside all day.
Instead, I loaded my pockets with tissues and headed to the Bills Backer’s bar downtown. I had been there a few times before, but never alone. I was excited to get out of the house and root for the Bills.
I wish this post would end with a cool story about how I ended up sitting next to a really awesome group of people, and now we’re friends. Or, that I met my future husband, or happened to be talking to a friend of a friend. Nope, none of those things happened.
I ate lunch, chatted with the older guy next to me who was in Albany on business, sang the shout song a lot (J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK.), and once it was all over, I left.
No new friends, no cool stories, just sitting at the bar watching the game.
