Jackie Vetrano fell into higher education marketing by accident. With experience in marketing at both two- and four-year colleges, she found herself as part of the Marketing and Communications team at Skidmore College in New York. Vetrano stays in touch with higher education marketers across the country by working as an editor for Link, the online journal for higher education web professionals, and co-host and producer of the Higher Ed Social Podcast. In her free time, she is usually eating all-you-can-eat sushi, posting photos of her cat to Instagram or running, but not at the same time.
Jackie Vetrano is a recent graduate of SUNY Geneseo and current Social Media Coordinator at Skidmore College as a part of the Marketing and Communications team. In her free time, she is usually eating all you can eat sushi, posting photos of her cat to Instagram, or hosting the Higher Ed Social Podcast. Being a Buffalo native, Jackie is a die-hard Bills and Sabers fan, no matter how much pain it may cause in her heart. Aside from engaging in social media, Jackie enjoys running, the color yellow, reality TV, and blogging about young adult life. She is sometimes found wearing a false mustache.
Jackie Vetrano pledged the Alpha Beta Xi chapter at SUNY Geneseo in 2009. During her undergraduate years, she served as Unity Chair, Service Secretary, Pledge Educator, and founder of Geneseo’s Day of Service. Thanks to perfect timing and Doctor Who, Jackie has served Region II since 2015, working with the Alpha Delta Eta chapter at the University at Albany, Communications Chair, and chair of the 2016 Region II Volunteer Conference. Jackie also serves as the President of the Albany Area Alumni Association, lovingly known as AAAA, and is an APO LEADS Discover Presenter. Outside of Alpha Phi Omega, Jackie spends her time at work as the Social Media Coordinator at Skidmore College. She is a Buffalo native, and finds the pain of being a Bills fan a character building experience. She spends her free time running, eating all-you-can-eat sushi, and posting photos of her cat to Instagram, but not at the same time.
